It's no joke, John. I disagree with Scott on a lot of political things, and while it might read like a blogtroll, a vindictive spoof of everybody to the right of Dick Durbin, I assure you, the blog is an entirely accurate reflection of my mind. It was like my thoughts were being read by somebody who knows how to read thoughts.

thanks for the thought, but i think john has ironically introduced the question: which is the bigger joke, the blog that jokes or the blog that responds to jokes. i shall assemble a team straight away, assembling the union braintrust. mikhail, you shall lead the union language vanguard, using the tools of deconstructionism to enlighten us on this crucial issue. all cycling and revolutionary related activities must be stopped until an answer is announced.

Scott, I think John introduced that statement quite unironically. Sure, you can raise that whole canard about "which is the bigger joke, the blog that jokes or the blog that responds to jokes."

But that is surface-deep analysis, mere false consciousness, and you know it.

We true iconoclasters know the real revolutionary struggle lies in answering the question, "which is the bigger joke - the comment on the blog that responds to the blog that jokes, or the joke comment responding to the comment on the blog that responds to jokes on the blog that jokes?"

When you can answer that question, grasshoppa, you will be a master of your own domain, a regular master debater.

Oh, and I think structuralism or perhaps new historicism will probably be sufficient to unpack that debate - no need to break the deconstructionists out of cold storage.

I think it's pretty hilarious, it's like an Onion side project. What's even funnier are the comments from people who don't realize it's funny. Sad.
